DAILY BREAD

A place for community

and connection

ABOUT

A place for community and connection

Operating two nights a week, Daily Bread is a Nambour based meal support kitchen that provides a place for community and connection. We partner with several schools and organisations who support us by volunteering regularly. Our team of volunteers serves on average 70 meals a night. It’s our heart to give people a hand up, not a handout. By sitting down and sharing a meal together, we listen to people and hear their story.

Other support agencies such as Orange Sky Laundry and Community Health Homeless Outreach join us at Daily Bread, so if needed, we can help connect people to additional services.

Meeting people in their place of need

Daily Bread is a meal support kitchen that provides a hot meal to those that need in our community.
The Daily Bread operates twice a week on a Monday and Wednesday night between 5:00pm-6:00pm at 10 Sydney Street, Nambour.
If someone would like to join us for a meal, they can come along on either a Monday or Wednesday night. No need to RSVP, everyone is welcome.

We’re always looking for new volunteers or corporate partners to support the work we do. You can express your interest via our volunteer page or get in touch with us if you’d like to donate goods or partner with us financially.

STORIES OF HOPE

This is Kim's story:

Kim’s journey with the Daily Bread began one Wednesday evening, when she stepped through our doors with her 5-year-old son, seeking refuge from domestic violence in her hometown. Initially reserved and withdrawn, she quietly joined for dinner before leaving. However, a spark of connection ignited when one of our volunteers reached out to her, gradually forming a friendship over subsequent weeks.
