HOPE HAMPERS

Giving hope to Christmas

The Hope Hampers Christmas Appeal aims to assist families and individuals on the Sunshine Coast facing food insecurity and financial hardship at Christmas.

Each year Hope Hampers places value on Sunshine Coast families by providing food relief in the form of beautiful Christmas ‘hampers’. In addition, we also distribute gifts as part of the campaign.

All you need to know

Each year nominations for hampers open in November with hampers distributed in December. Volunteers are needed from November through to December to help collect, assemble, wrap and distribute hampers.
Agencies and individuals can nominate recipients in November each year via our online nomination form. We also have volunteers available in store and at Daily Bread to assist with completing the online form.
Each year we are so grateful to our volunteers who make our Hope Hampers possible through their hours of bringing together each of the elements. Register your interest via our volunteer page. Businesses and individuals can partner with us to collect items for donation or financially give. We have great opportunities for organisations to make Hope Hampers part of their Christmas annual gifting initiatives.

Impact Stories

Hope Delivered

We are proud of the part The Everyday Foundation plays within the community and its ability to give hope during a time when it is most needed.

“It’s been amazing to see the community come together to support the cause. We were met with the highest number of nominations this year which speaks into the need that is out there. But I am pleased to say that we also had more donations and more volunteers than ever before, ensuring that we were able to meet the need,” notes Karen Gullo, Operations Manager.

Recent research from Foodbank Australia has revealed that close to one in four Australians have experienced severe food insecurity in the past 12 months. This means that many have had to skip meals or go the whole day without food.

“Our heart with the Everyday Foundation is to meet people in their place of need”
