Providing food for schools

Our School Pantry Program partners with local schools to provide food so that the school can run its own program to support its students.

Recent research from Foodbank Australia has revealed that close to one in four Australians have experienced severe food insecurity in the past 12 months. This means that many have had to skip meals or go the whole day without food. Children are especially affected with growing nutritional needs; it’s estimated that 15% of school students arrive at school without lunch. The effects of food insecurity on children are devastating with lifelong impacts on their mental, physical and emotional health.

Meeting people in their place of need

The School Pantry Program works with Sunshine Coast schools to provide schools with food for students to access with dignity and help achieve our mission that no one on the Sunshine Coast would go hungry. The program is provided in conjunction with Foodbank Australia.

The Everyday Foundation provides food to schools to administer their programs in their own way.

Students at participating schools are able to access the program via their school. For schools wanting to be part of the School Pantry Program please get in touch with us via the contact page.
People can give financial support to the program via our donation page.
